RYLA.

RIBI Foundation.

Scotia Relief Group, (Charity No. SC021290), is a Fife based charity whose main aim is to help children from all over the world no matter what colour, creed or nationality. So far they have helped children in

General view of the crowded condition of the wards - many cots to a small room - with older children still confined to the cots

Romania, Bosnia, Russia and Kosovo not forgetting children at home who they help all year round. This year their seventh convoy journeyed from Fife through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Hungary into Romania as far east as the Ukrainian border. To finance the trip they raised the travelling costs themselves and, as the drive is undertaken by volunteers who sleep and eat in the vans, they keep these same costs to a minimum. Their aim on each trip is to provide each child with a personal box containing the following items :- 3 pairs of socks; 3 pairs of pants; 1 comb, (boys); 1 brush, (girls); 4 toothbrushes; 4 tubes of toothpaste; 1 flannel/sponge; 3 bots. med. shampoo; 4 bars of soap; 6 pens; 6 pencils; 1 eraser; 1 sharpener; 1 jotter and 1 deodorant: - items that we take for granted.

Other items that are in great need are shoes; first aid items; baby milk; nappies; calpol; vitamins; sanitary wear; paracetamol; craft items and stationery . If you can help with any of these items, or wish to donate money, please contact the chairman, Lloyd George, on 01592 771281who I am sure will welcome any assistance you can offer.
