Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner
Some of the guests invited to our senior citizens Christmas dinner being greeted by President Bill before the meal.
Every year we invite between fifteen to twenty guests from around the area to join us at the meeting which falls closest to Christmas day.

Christmas Charity Appeal 1998
President Bill Inglis accepts a donation of 4 tons of potatoes from Gus Farmer of Cavaghan & Gray, a subsidiary of Northern Foods, for our Christmas appeal
Over 8 tons of potatoes were sold over the four weeks before Christmas from the Deer Centre car park, at Letham, on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and by going from door to door in the villages in the Howe area.  £1400 was raised.

Rotary Lecture March 1999
Our first Rotary Lecture was given by Dr. Simon Taylor of St. Andrew's University on Changing Landscapes in North Fife over the Centuries. It was attended by around 130 guests and moves are afoot to try to make it an annual event.

CharityMay 1999 Golf Match
The club takes part in various golf matches but the highlight of the year is the one organised by the club at St Michael's Golf Club Leuchars. Every year they "lend" us their course, for a day,so that we can run a Shotgun tournament.
 Last year over £1250 was raised on the day through entry fees and a raffle.

Schools Quiz May 1999
Area winners of the Rotary Quiz in the Howe of Fife area were Auchtermuchty Primary School. They went on to the regional finals in Monifieth where they lost in the knockout stages despite scoring 101 points out of a possible 120.

Rotary Foundation Trip to Thailand
We sponsored Susie McIntyre on an exchange visit to Thailand. Susie was part of a five person team that went to gain insight into the ways that Thais address business issues. She spent five weeks in the country's less developed North Eastern area. Then came back to give a very interesting presentation about her trip to the club.
